Wild Week 2

There were a a lot of great games this week.  Most people are talking about the Monday night game.  Both the eagles and cowboys look like teams to be taken seriously.

Despite the bone headed play (or brilliant play if you own Westbrook) by DeSean Jackson, he looks good.  He is extremely fast and those who have either drafted him late or picked him off the waivers feel good about his future.

I can’t get the Denver/San Diego Game out of my head.  Although Mike Shanahan gave a good speech about having to make the plays to win, the Chargers got robbed.  Two horrible calls concerning turnovers went Denver’s way and it cost the Chargers the game.  Most people know that if you win the turnover battle you have a great chance of winning the game.

Staying in the same game.  Jay Cutler looks awesome.  We have learned that he was sick last year, and they have figured out how to get him healthy.  For those who Drafted Cutler anywhere from the 6th-8th rounds, should feel really good about their teams, especially if they didn’t screw up their first4 or 5 picks before him.  Brandon Marshall looks like a man among boys, and his presence opens things up for the Royal, Stokley and Scheffler.

Another great finish was the Colts/Vikings game.  If you give Peyton a chance, he will usually burn you.  It also shows how important being able to score TD’s in the redzone is.  The Vikings had dominated the game but always had to settle for field goals and it cost them the game.  It looks like it has cost Tavaris Jackson his job for now as reports in Minnesota say that Gus Frerotte get the start this week.

Also we need to give props to Mr. Anquan Boldin.  He had a huge fantasy day and for that he gets his picture up on our NFL page.  He posted 140 yards and 3 tds.

I hope you are enjoying the tournament and the site.  Let me know what you are thinking and we will address it.

Look for the winners of the contests for week 2 soon and we apologize about that dude called Dr. Awesome and his “awesome picks”.
