Week 3 Fantasy Hero’s By. Dr. Awesome

Fellow Fantasy Followers,

Well I have been stuffed all week after eating several pieces of humble pie for some of my picks last week.  I didn’t take into account that the Bengals game would be played in a wind tunnel and I knew about the slight injury to Ryan Grant, but didn’t think is was as serious as it is.  Well and Larry Johnson that is just a mystery.  The Chiefs are playing up to the old USFL standards so  I will keep that in mind going forward.  Week 3 brings some intriguing fantasy matchup’s of which I will choose the best.

Hero # 1 -  Aaron Rodgers - QB Green Bay Packers

I mean did anyone outside Aarons’ immediate family and obviously the management in Green Bay really see this coming.  I heard through one of  my contacts that Rodgers has a bet with Favre for most TD passes on the year and it looks like Favre might need to write a big check. This could be a shoot out, look for Rodgers to have a big pass happy day.

Hero # 2 - Steve Smith - WR Carolina Panthers

This guy is coming out to prove something against the Vikings who are desperate for a win.  Look for a few big plays to Smith so he can make up for punching his teammates lights out.  He will show off his wheels on that fast turf in the dome.

Hero # 3 - Steven  Jackson - RB  St. Louis Rams

Yes this is not a typo.  I am making this pick because Seattle is so decimated with injuries Ichiro is going to  play Sunday and I think that 2 games were sufficient for Jackson to get warmed up.  Let’s see if Jackson can get back to his old ways.

Hero # 4 - Antonio Gates - TE San Diego Chargers

With Phillip Rivers coming out of his shell last week, look for Gates to have a big day on Monday night against the Jets.  Is it just me or did Norv Turner bring some kind of weird toe disease to the Chargers organization when he arrived?  Any way as the toes go so do the Chargers.

Hero # 5 - Reggie Bush - RB New Orleans Saints

Bush is ready to rip up that Denver D in what could be another high flying affair in the mountains.  I think Bush is one of those guys who keeps Shanahan up at night talking to himself, don’t be surprised if he has more return yards than the Chiefs do on offense.

Well I have looked into my crystal ball and this is what I have seen for Week 3.  I hope to have another fun weekend of hob nobbing with my classy friend Josh Howard.
